Expensive fur

Governments have poured $780,000 into Comfort Cove Farms Limited so far.

Currently the farm has 4,000 minks and each have their own cage with cozy nests. They supply three types of mink including white, mahogany and pastel. The mink that are at this farm are shipped from Placentia Bay, Deer Lake, Cormack and Boyd’s Cove.

The mink is a very timid animal and the workers do their best to keep the noise and anything foreign away from the holding buildings. Any loud noises can make the mink go into shock and eventually they could die by living in a stressful environment.
