Review of The Extinction Club.

Gervais Cude, who plays “chicken” with a snowplow, and Alcide Bazinet, who has tortured animals all his life, are connected with the lucrative black market in bear gallbladders and other illegal animal parts.

Like the Eastern cougar, thought to be extinct in Quebec for 50 years, Céleste and Nile are the last of their lines. They devise a dangerous plan to avoid being butchered, leading to a stupendously satisfying ending.
