Can’t go there

Richmond Animal Protection Society still no-kill despite receiving forty percent of usual donations this month.

People who drop off unwanted pets have suggested staff euthanize animals to save money. But Reichert said she and her staff could never do it.

“We can’t even think of going there,” she said. “All of our staff, we work overtime. They’re all passionate about animals. If the animal has a chance for a quality life, they are brought to us.”
