Ten times

Saskatoon’s Happy Dog Acres rescues abused dogs from northern Saskatchewan.

The Arstalls estimate they’re spending thousands of dollars on these dogs every year. They’re trying to find them permanent homes, but ultimately they’re trying to find a way to stop this abuse from happening in the first place.

Brent Arstall said he hopes his efforts help northerners see dogs in a different way.

“The kids up there realize that they don’t have to grow up… mistreating a dog,” he said. “A dog, any kind of love you give to these guys they’ll give 10 times more love back to you.”
