Pride thing

At the Cobequid Dog Club’s 41st All Breed Championship Dog Show.

“It’s a social event for them and us,” said Stewiacke’s Glenda Johnson, who entered four Burmese mountain dogs.

Johnson’s been competing for about three years and agreed it requires a tremendous amount of work.

“It’s a lot of homework daily because you start conditioning them as babies,” said Johnson.

Despite the constant training and grooming, the efforts are worthwhile.

“It’s a pride thing and it’s good to have that little competitive edge,” said Johnson.
