House horse

Miniature horse has moved away from Cowichan and its bylaws.

Hailey had contested Buckley was safe from the bylaw, prohibiting farm animals on property less than two acres, on the grounds she doesn’t consider her house-dwelling, two-foot tall, 110-pound pet a farm animal.

As for the horse in question, Hailey reports he’s happy, healthy and possibly joining the realm of children’s literature.

“My mom is actually writing a children’s novel about Buckley,” she said. “She’s trying to get it published and we’re looking for illustrators.”
