Egg fight

Egg Producers of Prince Edward Island want new rules for small producers.

. . . the Lloyds say no one has ever gotten sick eating their eggs. They believe the large-scale egg producers have other concerns.

“Their concerns are they’re not making enough money probably off their eggs and they’re trying to justify putting the small person out of business,” said Carl Lloyd. “Think they can make more profit — play the health card issue. There is no issue with an outdoor animal,” he said.

“It’s agri-business trying to squash the little man again,” agreed his wife.
