Cats left at side of road highlight Peterborough’s cat problem.
The humane society has been working with the city to come up with a solution to the stray and feral cat problem in the city.
The organization plans to open a nonprofit spay and neuter clinic in partnership with Humane Alliance to provide a low-cost option for people, Algar said.
“This is a county-wide problem,” he said. “We’ve got to look at the problem with cat overpopulation….We’ll be doing feral cats on the side but mainly we’ll be offering people out there a cost effective option to have their animals fixed.”
