Cop dog

Saskatoon police dog stabbed.

The dog was assisting police attempting to apprehend two suspects who were caught trying to steal vehicle in the 200 block of St. Paul’s Place, according to a police news release.

Police said they arrested a 19-year-old man, but a second suspect got away.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the animal was being treated at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon, where it received a blood transfusion.
