Anti-sealers arrested

At the Fisheries Council of Canada conference in Charlottetown; the fate of their costume is unclear.

The protesters, one wearing a seal costume, were waving signs reading, “Canada’s Shame: End the Seal Slaughter” and chanting, “Ban the hunt.”

The pair climbed on top of a table during a lunch meeting that was attended by government officials from across Canada.

The protesters toppled glasses and bottles and halted the meeting for 20 minutes before police arrived and carried them out.
